Our party and government has paid much attention to the education of the national spirit, since the national spirit can stimulate students' national pride, enhance their national confidence, build up their national cohesion. Under the background of the modernization and the globalization, the education of the national spirit is more important to the development of the country and the resurgence of the nation.For some reasons, the country consciousness, the national confidence, and the national pride of our students are becoming unsubstantial. They disregard the excellent traditional culture, and their attributive consciousness to the Chinese nation is not strong. All of these is bad to the resurrection and the independence of the Chinese nation. So, to the school education, it is an extremely urgency to develop the national spirit.The key to the education of the national spirit is to solve the problem of the culture identity. To cultivate the national culture identity, we should make our student understand the inimitable values, the history and tradition, the morality and custom, the life style of our Chinese nation, and then change these same values to their inner faith themselves.In the course of the development of Students' attributive consciousness, teachers should help the students to overcome the difficulties , stimulate their interests in traditional Chinese culture and make it become their needs. Teachers should also learn and absorb the fruits of the foreign culture, try to find the affiliation between the traditional culture and the Zeitgeist. Then, the students will be interested in the national culture, and identify with the national culture.However, the family, the school, the society and the students are lack of rational attitude to the foreign culture at present. They have absorbed more and intellectually abandoned less. People are remiss of the national culture of their own. Their interest and identity to the national culture is becoming weaker and weaker. It is worrying that the middle school students are lack of the identity to the national culture.In our country, many middle schools and primary schools are active in researching how to inherit the national culture by School-based Curriculum Development.
