As a kind of emotion for individual holding, the self-esteem is one of the phenomenons that people studying in the ego realm. The implicit self-esteem, the part of the implicit social cognition in the past, is a kind of attitude to something correlating with people themselves or unrelated with them, and this kind of attitude can't be identified through the introspective.The self-handicapping is a worth behavior to protect their self-worth that people usually adopt to obviate the negative influence for failure, and it is can be seen in daily life and the exercise realm.The sport performance is a series of behavior or mental state activities in the exercise and competition process. It suffers a lot offactors influence, for example opponent, judge, an appearance etc.The textual research object is the tennis athletes in university. The method adopt the IIIA AT(implicit association test), using the response time to compute the implicit self-esteem level, acquiring the accurate and objective data result; and use the self-Handicapping Scale,investigating their self-handicapping level;and apply the Tennis SportPerformance Evaluation Measure joins together with the performance of the actual game inside, acquiring their sport performance data.
