The thesis first of all introduces the present position of rural vocational education under the background of comprehensive construction of well-off society, and the reasons why the author choose it as a topic in theory and in practice, and give a full explanation of the concept of rural vocational education. Then it points out several critical issues that restrain rural areas from well-off society constructing. On the theoretical basis of the Rural Educational Thought written by Tao Xingzhi, The Common People's Educational Thought by Yan Yangchu and The Rural Development and Educational Theory by Schumacher, etc., it shows that the rural vocational education plays an important role in the well-off society constructing in the countryside.Through the analysis and data statistics, many problems which are located in the rural vocational education have been found after investigation. For example, the speed of rural vocational education is obviously slowing down, the scale weakening; the resources of rural vocational education have a reduced tendency, the condition of running schools worse than before; the funds for vocational education is insufficient, running schools difficult; the development between regions, urban and rural areas is out of balance; the structure of vocational education is unreasonable; the quality and efficiency of education are ready for further improvement. Faced with these problems, the thesis has found out the main reasons through the analysis of the causes to them. It includes not only the outside factors which influence the rural vocational education such as: social viewpoints, personal costs and benefits in vocational education, employment markets, scientific technology of agriculture, but the inside factors such as: the mono-model of running schools, the imperfect structure in major, the improper arrangement of curriculum, the weak ranks of teachers, the imperfect system of education, the insufficient supply of being varied and multi-level in the rural vocational education.For the reason mentioned above, the thesis, using for reference the advanced foreign experience, proposes the following strategy suggestion in developing the rural vocational education. First, establish and advance a new educational conception and maintain educational impartiality.
