For a long time, there have lied some problems in the teaching of Chinese in China. For instance, teachers always spend a lot of time in teaching but have very few achievements. Students are lack of creativity and have relatively low ability in practice. They are passive and can only use simple and single way in learning. Meanwhile, students are very negative in emotional experience. Such problems as listed above have been more and more inharmonic with the development of our times. Therefore, the most important task for schools to carry out quality education should be to reform the school teaching style that aimed at enabling students to go to college and prepare for kinds of exams. A brand new teaching style should be created , which aims at promoting all students in all sides and reflecting the direction and requirement of quality education. In order to create this new teaching style, schools and teachers should focus on changing the simple way for students to passively accept the knowledge taught by teachers. We should help and guide our students to develop an active way of learning to inquire knowledge and skills by themselves as well as drawing their attention to solving practical problems.In the new edition of high school textbooks for Chinese teaching, classical Chinese writings make up about 40% of all the contents. But generally students think it the most difficult and boring part to learn classical Chinese writings. They show least interest and enthusiasm in learning and inquiring them, which has become a tough problem in the reformation of Chinese teaching.Inquiring learning focuses on cultivating students'ability of thinking and learning individually, which can inject new vitality into classes.
