The relation between teachers and students is the most basic one in schools and the interaction between teachers and students, which is an epitome of the interaction of society, has a direct influence on the school teaching. Owing to the many factors in school, such as sexes, grades, characters, backgrounds, the conflict between teachers and students is inevitable and quite common. In class the basic way of communication between teachers and students is through language therefore they always have conflict orally. The purpose of this essay is not to discuss the negative factors of the conflict but to study the conflict in a empirical analysis on scientific attitude on the basis of language and find out how to get a proper understanding and what measures to take to solve this problem is valuable not only to the healthy development of students but also to save trouble of the students in the future life.The research adopted the qualitative research in a middle school of Guilin, it mainly presented as an"observer-as-participant"in a class of grade one ,five of the cooperators are Chinese,English teachers through classroom observation and personal interview. This dissertation includes five parts.The first part is an introduction, includes the contents of the study, the characteristics and value of qualitative research ,how the authors began with the study, how to chose the case, and so on.The second part elaborated the corpus of the conflict of spoken language between teachers and students.
