As higher education now becomes more readily available to the general public instead of being just limited to people of higher social classes, the traditional employment guidance becomes inadequate and is confronted with many challenges. As such, a better and more innovative system of employment guidance has to be developed urgently. In order to overcome these challenges, we are presenting in this report our thoughts on constructing this new employment guidance. The report stems from the fact that university graduates these days are having difficulties finding employment, relied on theories and practical experiences of employment guidance from other countries, combined with Nanchang University survey and analysis on this subject, and also employed the strategic management theory framework from management studies. The enhanced employment guidance serves to increase the success rates of employment of university graduates by having a detailed explanation in 3 main areas: the role of the individual; the role of the universities; and the role of the government. This enhanced employment guidance is a draft report aimed at solving current challenges and we hope this report will arouse the attention of related personnel working on the guidance and therefore creating a more in-depth discussion and research.
