In recent years, the phenomenon that increasing people are over-burn their energy so badly that causes exhaustion and even death young draws great attention in the society. More and more college teachers who used to teaching and research and don't have much inclination to fame and fortune have to face with all kinds of new lures and challenges. Studies show that college teachers are facing stresses from every different area. Consequently, the key question to the paper is to find approaches to reduce stresses of teachers through research on their living condition and sources of their stresses.This issue has great theoretical and practical significance. And this paper tries to cut in from the sources and intensity of stresses on college teachers, and then ascertain main sources and analyzes their correlations through a combination of literature review, theoretical research and empirical study. Meanwhile, this paper compares with pressure intensities of different teacher groups in order to make further understanding of the differences among teacher groups (classified by sex, marital status, age, job titles, education, jobs and income) based on the method of Stress Scale.By empirical analysis, this paper advances model of pressure college teachers, which is related to three major factors: firstly, pressure intensity, which is proportional to the single pressure intensity and the total source of stress; secondly, pressure durative, which means the duration that pressure affects people, and which is proportional to its pressure intensity; thirdly, characteristics of individuals subjected to the stress, which is related to personality, mental endurance, self-adjustment, personal control abilities and so on, and it is inversely proportional to the pressure. The factors that influence the college teachers are various which are based on the diversified needs of teachers as human beings. The stresses come not only from work, society and living, but also from their self-demand. Consequently, this paper researches on all sources of stress in order to reflect the true fact of stress on college teachers.Based on the Empirical Research, this paper analyzes actual performance of stress on college teachers and makes targeted and in-depth exploration to sources of stress on college teachers from work, social environment, living and self-demand. In the end, this paper combined with the modern management concepts and research results to bring forward effective methods to reduce stress on teachers from perspectives of society, organization (school) and teachers themselves, which give considerations both in time that reflects the different stages to cope with stresses, but also in scope that reflects the three main roles to deal with stresses.
