According to the statistics,53%of the teachers suffer from certain amount of stress from work, while45%of the interviewed teachers claim they are overloaded with stress from work, with only2%of them feeling relaxed. Apart from this result, other findings can be listed as follows:female teachers or teachers who are headmasters have more stress than those who are not. Besides, teachers in graduating class or key middle schools are more likely to suffer from pressure.Teachers’stress can not be ignored. The bad effects of overloaded stress of teachers are explored in this thesis. For example, teachers under great stress may be tired physically and mentally, causing troubles in their personal life and affecting the classroom effects.By doing research with the methods mentioned above, the paper concludes that the reasons that cause teachers’stress are various. On the one hand, the society has high expectations for teachers, without giving them enough pay or social status. On the other hand, the education reforms and changes also bring stress to teachers. What’s more, poor management, especially unfair evaluation system also contribute to another factor for teachers’stress. Last but not least, the pressure is closely related to the individual teacher’s personality and self-expectation.In order to ease teachers’ stress, the efforts from the society, schools and individuals should be combined. The society is supposed to enhance teachers’economical and social status, and attach proper expectations and requirements. As for the schools, the managers of schools should create harmonious relationship and working environment, and set up scientific managing and evaluating system. Finally, teachers should also learn to cope with stress, improve teaching skills and try to be a better self.
