The researcher divides functions of the behavior problems into obtaining the intrinsic stimulation, obtaining the external stimulation, escaping intrinsic stimulation, escaping the external stimulation and the multiple functions. The study goals are to find the function of behavior problems by using functional assessment, and use positive behavior support to solve the behavior problem. This case study mainly discusses three questions: what the function of the student's behavior problem is and which the function belongs to: the single one or the multiple one; whether the function assessments consistent with each other; how about the effect solving the behavior problems by the interventional plans based on the functional assessment. The researcher selects an autistic boy in the experimental center school, and studies his behavior of playing slaver for about six months by single subject design, investigation methodology and experimentation. Firstly uses functional assessment to obtain the function, and then applies positive behavior support to the behavior problem. Find the function of playing slaver through the behavioral motivation assessment scales , the guardian and the teacher interviews, the visual observation, and then proposes the behavior problem's function supposition, finally confirms this supposition with the functional analysis. The functional analysis is designed with attention of the society, the material, requests and lives alone four situations. Simultaneously compares the uniformity of four functional assessments results, lastly sets down the positive behavior support plans and checks the effect. The research discovers that the function of this case is to obtain the intrinsic stimulation through four functional assessments, and it is single function. The results of these four functional assessments are consistent. Simultaneously the key to confirm the behavior problem's function is the relationship among behavior and setting event, antecedent event as well as the result. Behavior problem is influenced by the environment. The behavior problems is cut down successfully by setting down the positive behavior support plan based on the function assessments and adopting ABAB design to carry on, and using the antecedent controls, the behavior training and the consequence processing strategy. The insufficiencies of this research lie in: study quantity, disability type and the age level are limitary, and the earlier experimental prepare is inadequate. The future research will be supposed to expand the object of study quantity, promote disability type to Down's Syndrome, Fragile X Syndrome and others; extend the age to baby stage, school age stage, young people and so on; extend the research place to community and family; finally, the assessment participations should include teaching and administrative staffs, guardian as well as community workers and so on.
