Research On The Blended-learning Models Of Modern Distance Education In Chuxiong Yi, Yunnan

The education ministry has put forward to implement the modern distance education project, form the opening education network, and construct lifetime study system in the action Plan of Vitalizing Education towards the 21st Century. In 1999, Education Ministry sanctioned central TV university personnel training mode reform and open education pilot project study, hereafter referred to as TVU open education. It is one of the key items of the action plan of vitalizing education towards the 21st century. Chuxiong Yi TV University is making efforts to advance the development of pilot project study, explore the mode reform of personnel training, and enforce the quality mind. The sustainable development of education has been realized, and the social benefit is available. But we must be fully aware, for various reasons, the pilot project work is still less than satisfactory in many aspects. The conceptions and methods should be changed along with the modern information technology was introduced to distance education. It is found that the situation of distance learners in Chuxiong Yi TV University is not suit well with the characters of modern distance education and the model of independent study with modern information technology, which is difficult to adapt the request of the knowledge economic and the learning society in practice. This influenced the development of Chuxiong Yi TV University to a certain extent.The study of my research proved that there are many problems in practicing distance education when information technology is applied mechanically. So the concerning staff should run modern distance education with new conceptions and methods to improve the learning efficiency. Blended learning models can mix advantages of e-learning and traditional learning, choose deliver mode based on learning content and learner's require and teacher's condition, which aims to enhance learning quality and performance and achieve teaching and learning goal.Blended learning model is an integration widely suggested in improving students' learning and reaching the teaching and learning goal. Multi-media textbooks are made according to the features of E-textbooks with the main points from the printed textbooks for the special use of different students and different teaching forms, which is a combination of multiple forms of study. It will be very important and meaningful applying multiple learning forms in modern distance education in Chuxiong Yi TV University, which will promote using modem information technology in distance education.
