In Shanghai, some high schools are vigorously promoting education researches. Although the researches haven't been highlighted in some high schools, more often than not, there is a special team assigned by the principle to conduct the research. This paper concerns with the question what effect and efficacy can we gain from these researches since the nation has invested a tremendous amount of funds and high schools also devote a lot of human resource, time, money and management. To answer this question, we should find the most fundamental causes of the researches. Why do high schools conduct educational researches? What is the experience of teachers during the progress of research? Obviously, these primary questions have important significance to improve the value of researches in high school.The main elements of the demonstration came from the author's pondering in practice. The author has experience of practicing in the middle school and Bureau of Education, and participating in the scientific research activities instructed by mentors. Therefore, the author knows very well about researches carried out in high schools. Basing on the literature research, the writer uses investigation to explore the status of researches carried out by high schools.The introduction of the paper described the motivation of the paper and research design. As stated above, the target of carrying out education researches in high schools was to improve the teaching quality, which was set by administrators. For this reason, the education researches conducted in high school were mainly the requirement of the administration rather than the intention of the teachers. However, the target of administration would not be gained if it were not transformed to the real need of the teachers. Therefore; Chapter 1 mainly dealt with the motivation and target of the education researches that run by the requirement of the administration and the intention of high school teachers. In addition to the administration, universities, educational academic institutions, and even the commercial institutions, also take part in researches of high schools and thus become one of the motivity.The primary objectives can only be achieved after a long period of processing. Thus, the analysis of researches in high schools must be linked with the experience of high school teachers. Chapter 2 mainly discussed the experience of teachers in the process of carrying out the researches. The great feeling is hardship. They prefer teaching researches to education researches. And they think their researches are scarcity of conditions. High school teachers expect that their researches to be based on problem-solving and in line with their own interests. However, the researches are still in contradiction with the teacher's occupation character.Chapter III thesis topics evaluated the effect and role. Firstly, the effectiveness of secondary research was analyzed, including the level of achievement of the researches, the changes the secondary school experienced during the researches and the promotion of the experience from the successful researches. Secondly, the change that administration should make to evaluate the finished report was discussed. However, it was restricted by numerous factors including the form of result and management. Thirdly, the universal standards of evaluating the effectiveness of the researches were suggested. The standards were from the intentions of national policy and the prevailing view of the samples.Currently, it is the key issue to improve the efficacy of research among management of the education researches. Some suggestions were offered in chapter 4. Firstly, the researches should focus on "problems, task and scene" . Secondly, high school teachers should have the proper understanding of researches. Thirdly, to improve the overall quality and effectiveness of researches, the management should have pragmatic development concepts and clear development ideas so as to provide adequate conditions for scientific researches. Fourthly, the evaluation criteria should be attached to the practical work in high schools and be linked with the need of developing teaching.
