Teacher Education is facing with a great challenge from the deep development of Information Communication Technology (ICT)in education:Teachers (including pre-service teachers) have to master techniques to integrate ICT with curriculum efficiently. Most normal universities offer educational technology compulsory course for their students, but the result doesn't seem satisfying. In the author's view, the primary reason lies in that these courses overly emphasize to enhance students'ICT skills, but ignore their Information Instructional Design (IID) training. How to cultivate and improve pre-teachers'IID ability so that they can be competent for tomorrow's class teaching as soon as possible, that is becoming a hot issue in the research of teacher education and educational technology.Concept map is a useful tool for instructional design, but the relative research is very limited, especially in the research on concept map-based IID training for pre-service teachers, so systemic theoretic analyse and practical research are in dire need. By systematic sorting of revelent studies on concept map and IID firstly,and basing on the characteristics and demands of undergraduates in normal university, the author plan a concept map-based IID training project, which is task-driven and problem solving-oriented, according to ARCS motivation theory, constructionism theory and IID theory. The research object is 45 college students from Physics Department in Capital Normal University, who are organized as a training class. By three-circle deeper and deeper action research ,the author has carried out the training plan, and by questionnaire,observation,interview and object analysis research methods, the author has checked the project and come to a conclusion.The study indicates that: 1. Concept map is a kind of effective tool for instructional design. 2. The training project designed in this dissertation is practical, effective and feasible so it may be adopted as a teaching module or useful supplement of Educational Technology Course. The study extends the concept map's application in educational field, and improves the trainees'IID ability. It offeres a flat for undergraduates to participate research activities, and it can also be used for reference to other relevant train and research. |
