Research On The Management Of Multi-campus University In China

As a new organization pattern of higher education, the multi-campus universities in China are formed rnder government's impetus. According to different sources, the multi-campus universities can be divided into three types, which are respectively joint multi-campus, extended multi-campus and mixed multi-campus. Without dispute, the emergence of multi-campus universities is a good way to achieve the great development of higher education by satisfying the strong desire for the people to study as well as promoting the development of society, economy and technology. On the other hand, it brings a series of significant theoretical and practical problems in the management of universities, and how to solve these problems directly relates to the consolidation and development of multi-campus universities.This paper is based on relevant research results of the management study of universities with multi-campuses, both domestic and foreign. Through further investigation and study and widespread literature consult, the paper firstly reviews the forming background of multi-campus universities, and gives a conclusion of the way they form, the analysis of their advantages in managing universities, and the elaboration of current situation of their organization and management. After that, four main problems in view of the management of multi-campus universities are offered in this paper (administrative mode, distribution of the education resources, discipline construction, campus , culture) and analysis of factors that have effect in the management of multi-campus universities is also demonstrated. Finally, the principles that the multi-campus universities should abide by as well as the solutions to improve the management of multi-campus universities and the tendency of their development are offered in the paper.Obviously, the study on the management of multi-campus universities in China is a new discussion recently in our country. As a new topic, this discussion is a task that everyone should coordinate and try hard. It is hoped that this article could offer useful theory reference and practice instruction to the management of China's multi-campus universities and the further study on it.
