A Study On Emergency Mangement Of Student Affairs For Chinese Multi-campus Universities

In the management of colleges and universities, the mangement of Emergenciesplays a very important role. It’s significant for protecting students’ lives and property,maintaining stability and harmony of colleges and universities and promoting healthydevelopment of multi-campus colleges and universities to research the mangement ofemergencies in multi-campus colleges and universities. At present, in China, it’s verycommom way to run a college or university under the multicampus, which brings themulti-campus colleges and universities a fresh developement space as well as manychallenges, especially when it comes to the management of emergencies.This thesis mainly focuses on the research into two management characteristicsthat are the multi-compus management and its emergencices which happen to students.Then it concludes three characteristics of the multi-campus management, which are thecampus dispersion, the difficulty of management coordination and the lag ofinformation transmission as well as three characteristics of emergencies about students,which are sensitivity, contagiousness and mass participation.The theoretical research of this study is the second chapter which deals withemergency management theory and crisis management theory as the guide of4R.Starting from the formation and development of the multi-campus universities.Andstudy definition and classification to student affairs of universities. Finally, according to the charateristics, current situation and the result of caseresearch on the mangement of emergencies in multi-campus colleges and universities,some countermeasures are proposed to consummate the mangement of emergencies inmulti-campus colleges and universities.It may be help to prrfect emergencymanagement of student affairs for Chinese multi-campus University.
