Teaching material is the "text" transformed from curriculum contents under curriculum criterion through education and teaching activities. It covers the studying contents that students acquire, under teachers' instructions, on their own initiatives through studying activities practically and psychologically.Owing to the new curriculum, we have been released from the concept of "base on books" and we adopt the new scientific concept of "base on students". It also make us understand that teaching material is just a resource, we should not repeat exactly what the book says; but it doesn't mean that we could abandon books completely with an unconstrained style at the mean time.By studying the creative usage of elementary school's math books under the reform of new curriculum, this thesis tries to prove the fundamental connotation and extension of using teaching material creatively; explore the consequence and relationship between the usage of teaching material creatively and the development of pupils initiatively and comprehensively. Based on the summary of practices and experiences, this thesis constructs a set of practical and creative strategies systems, which can instruct teachers how to reorganize and create their own teaching material for a curriculum based on their fully understanding and respect to the new curriculum criterion. By following this system, it will allow teachers to exceed the teaching material, establish the correct view to teaching material and to teaching so that it will help to promote the effective implementation of the new course; and improve pupils math learning skills gradually. Therefore, eventually achieve the goal of promotion pupils' comprehensive and initiative development.
