Inheritance Integration Challenges

Sport is an important component of social culture. Since the 1990s, the relationship between gender composition and sports has become one of the most popular topics in sports sociology. The concerns on women's participation in sports not only reflect in the field of sports, and many other disciplines such as psychology, sociology and cultural studies have the strong interest in female sports.After implementing reform and opening up policy at end of the 1970s, with China's sustained economic growth and all-round social progress, equal rights and opportunities of women and men are continuously protected, women have gained unprecedented development opportunities, enthusiastic in participating in sports and cultural activities is also unprecedented high, women play an important role in soaring of Chinese sports cause. Meanwhile, we should also notice that imbalances of men and women to participate in sports activities still exist. Inequality in mass sport is still very prominent, it will restrict the building of a harmonious sports.This paper has two main parts: introduction and the text. Introduction is about significance and purpose of the paper, the status quo of about women's sports at home and abroad. Text includes three sections. The first part theoretically analyzes the concept of gender culture and the three characteristics of our gender cultural. The second part comparatively analyzes gender imbalance in development of our competitive sports and mass sports. The dynamic factors influencing women's participation in sports are: new opportunities, supported by the government, the feminist movement and media reports. The third part talks about culture and ideological factors infiltrating our female sports fields, including gender and cultural characteristics of the evolution has a profound impact on our contemporary female sports; it also has different characteristics of the times.Recalling our contemporary female sports development, we can find that the development of women's sports completely differs from that of the West. She knots together with the society and the country, developing into a powerful national will, weak social organizations and non-rational individual's tradition coexistence of sports culture. This special sports culture plays a positive role in our female sports in a certain period. However, we should also see the underlying disharmonious factors. Therefore, we must handle well gender equality issues of the sports development in the new era, constructing development model of female sports with Chinese characteristics.
