One important purpose of classroom-setting teaching of mathematics is to raise students' quality. With the development of quality-oriented education, new teaching theories are more and more popular. Therefore, new teaching approaches have been widely adopted in classrooms. Under the guidance of new curriculum standard, the simple knowledge instruction should be converted into a combination of ability raising, intelligence development and creativity stimulation. The author, as a high school teacher, tries to find an effective way to improve the students' mathematical quality and achievement.There are a variety of principles in teaching reforms, of which the scene teaching is one of the representatives. The scene teaching is set in optimized scenes. The scene, which can arouse students' interest in study, is based on the characteristics of teaching materials, teaching methods and students' learning abilities. The scene teaching aims to develop the students' interest in study and strengthen their learning motivation. Students' are expected to observe carefully and accumulate perceptional knowledge, then gradually their mathematical quality will be improved through cognition, development and creation in practice. It is necessary to apply scene teaching to the mathematics teaching in high school.This thesis attempts to solve the general problem in mathematics teaching in high school, which overemphasizes cognition and conclusion, but pays less attention to affection and process. Supported by the theories of modern pedagogy and psychology, the approach of scene teaching is put forward, considering the psychological characteristics of the high school students and the characteristics of mathematics. The practice of scene teaching in mathematics courses in high school is discussed. Three chapters are included in this thesis. Chapter I deals with the theories of new curriculum standard of mathematics. Chapter II tells about why scene teaching approach is put forward. Chapter III, the main part of the thesis, is an introduction of the practical use of scene teaching in mathematics classrooms, including principles of operation, strategies of design and teaching, suggestions and practical operation. The study shows that mathematical scene teaching under the new curriculum standard has a better effect on improving teaching achievement and students' quality.
