Along with the development and use of standard high school mathematics curriculum textbooks, many provinces and cities join one after another to the new curriculum reform ranks. Beijing has been using the standard curriculum teaching materials for over a year. How do teachers in Beijing react to the new materials? How do teachers transit from old to new materials? What are the percentages for old and new materials that teachers use in class? Questions like these reflect that the standard curriculum teaching materials may still need improvements. Further studies of the standard teaching materials are urgent and essential. As an in-practice teacher, it is important to investigate problems found in use of the standard curriculum teaching materials.This thesis has done a thorough background review regarding the standard curriculum teaching materials. Based on the review, a questionnaire was developed with contents of the required teaching materials of variate functions and solid geometry. The following results were obtained through the questionnaire survey analysis. There are good points about the new material: (1) Teachers would study the textbooks and teaching materials, and understanding students'needs become a starting point; (2) There were high usage of basic examples and exercises in the new materials; (3) Teachers pay special attention to important textbook chapters. There are also points need to be improved: (1) There are still quite a percentage of teachers using pre-reform textbooks in the settings of using examples and exercises; (2) in field research, less experienced teachers tended to go with experienced teachers in the setting of materials selection and teaching order; (3) Using of the new materials increased teachers'burden on preparing work; (4)There were not enough time to teach all the materials, and thus it is hard to have a smooth transition in using the new materials. There were challenges in using the new materials: (1) There are a lot of applied questions in various difficulty degrees; (2) It's difficult to balance the degree of the sample questions; (3) To the teaching difficulty, depth and level of material breath, the teachers feel puzzled. Based on the research results, a few suggestions to improve the standard curriculum teaching material: (1) to improve the exercise and work topic engagement; (2) to improve knowledge engagement between middle school textbooks and high school textbooks; (3) to compile the necessary teaching resources carefully. It is proposed that some procedures can be implemented in the training high school teachers: (1) Giving regular in-person training for common questions; (2) Establishing a standard curriculum teaching material training website; (3) Educating teachers about the idea of standard curriculum as for the textbook structure and new concepts.
