"Life" is the popular topic in the contemporary educational field. While most of the scholars put emphasis on the "life" of the students, the study of the "life" of the teacher is an almost blank field. The institutionalized education fetters the vitality of the teacher; the concrete education aim and the same evaluating standard chock the creative ability of the teacher; furthermore, the learning ability of the teacher gradually decline under the development of the knowledge which strives for the more specific and frequently changing state. So, the teacher become the "skilled worker", just as the "one-sided person" in Marcuse's words who lose the thinking ability under the control of the technology and are not willing to, or even have no capacity to perceive what is gong on and why it happens. This kind of educator is lack of judgment and thought. Therefore, "life" is the primary attribute of the teacher and it is the starting point of the educational wisdom which, in return, is the orientation of life care of teacher.This thesis is divided into three parts.The first part is concerned with wisdom and the educational wisdom. The nature of the wisdom is exposed from the interpretation in the different layers and ways. This, combined with new conception of the role of the teacher, deduces the essence of the educational wisdom. It includes the profound comprehension of the nature and principles of education; the optimal way of judging and solving problems on the basis of the acquired knowledge and experience; an original approach to predict the possible development of education; a creative way of solving the "uncertain" problems in the educational practice; the purpose of it is to realize the promotion of the career and the enhancement of the meaning of life.The second part illustrates the type and characteristic of the educational wisdom. According to different perspective it can be divided into educational theoretical wisdom and educational practical wisdom: visible educational wisdom and invisible educational wisdom; reasonable educational wisdom, moral educational wisdom and poetic educational wisdom. It encompasses the combination of the individual and the general; the theoretical and the practical; the visible and invisible: the creative and the functional, the moral and the aesthetic.The third part discusses the formation of the educational wisdom which is demonstrated from three aspects: the theory of shaping stage of educational wisdom, internal building mechanism and the external supporting condition.
