Life quality notions are the material social conditional requirements and intentions about individuals' satisfaction of physiological needs and psychological goal; and cognitions and wishes about individuals' seeking of self-development and sense of life. Study on college students' notions of life quality is the further extension study on life quality, it can make mental health and life education pratically , and also can privide guidances of theoretical bases and practice method to improve life quality of college students.The study procedures are as following: from theory analysis to tool development, to investigation and statistics, to relationships display. Based on literature analysis and the inventory survey; defined the connotation of college students' life quality notions; designed the questionnaire of college students' life quality notions, through the exploratory factor analysis and verified factor analysis, we have confirmed theconstructive elements of college students' life quality notions; and have reveal the developmental characteristics of college students' life quality notions and its relationship to life quality.We can draw the following conclusions from this study:(1) By means of the method of factor analysis, the research finds that the college students' notions of life quality are constructed by seven dimensions: physiology and health, material environment, social status, spiritual belief, self-development, altruism and dedication, self awareness and management. These are basically consistent with the theoretical hypothesis. The self-made questionnaire had high reliability and fair validity, and it can be used as a tool to measure college students' notions of life quality.(2) The order of ratings' of every dimension given by the college students was: physiology and health, spiritual belief, material environment, self awareness and management, social status, self-development, altruism and dedication.(3) With the growing of age, there is a reversed U Type trend in its development. As well as with the higher grade, there is a decline.(4) On the whole, there were no significant differences on gender. But female students had significant high scores in physiology and health, social status, spiritual belief, altruism and dedication, as well as male students in self-development. There were also no significant differences on the origin of family and the type of college(5) On the whole, there are significant differences between different majors, especially in physiology and health, material environment, self-development, self awareness and management; On the whole, there were significant differences between students from only-child family and those not, especially in physiology and health, spiritual belief, altruism and dedication,(6) There was a significant correlation between the college students' life quality notions and life quality assessment. Regression analysis showed that four factors such as substance condition, spiritual belief, altruism and dedication, self awareness and management can predict one's life quality.
