| As the postgraduate education reserves the highest level in the whole education system in our country, the postgraduate education shoulders an important mission to cultivate the high quality, high level and creative talent for the modernization of our country. While during this process, the instruction of tutors plays a pivotal role. Countries in the world have been attached to the instruction methods, and China also has been working hard to improve it. The research of the methods belongs to the research field of the construction and development of the postgraduate education projects. It reflects a certain academic value, but also has practical guidance. It is in favor of improving the quality of the postgraduate education and has a direct impact on the fostering of the postgraduate's ability of innovation and creativity.Through surveys and interviews, statistics and analysis of data, we find some problems with the current tutors' instruction methods. Accordingly, in the framework of people educating oriented and student oriented, the paper, under the guidance of the principles which include the unification of training quality and quantity, the combination of individual and group instruction and so on, proposes an approach to improve the instruction methods.The paper includes five parts. The first part is the background and value of the study and also a literature overview, it establishes the foundation; The second part of this paper defines the tutors' instruction methods as a solid structure that includes four aspects: the relationship of supervision, scope and methods of supervision, periods and frequency of supervision, habits of supervision, which make a clearer understanding of the concept to us; The third part presents the results of the investigation of the current situation of the methods and summarizes the main existing problems; The fourth part aimed at the problems, proposes the attribution in four areas: historical side-effects from all previous education stages, all kinds of stress on university campus which are caused by irrational increase of postgraduates' recruitment, some misunderstandings about postgraduate-education orientation among university leaders, direct influence on supervision levels from supervisors' personal experience, ability and responsibility; The fifth part is the focus of this paper, under the guidance of a certain theory and learning from the experience abroad, the instruction methods of "open-democracy-cooperation-interaction" was proposed. |
