Soft volleyball, following indoor volleyball and beach volleyball, is an emerging sports project that has a characteristic of athletics sports and suits all the people. The appearance of soft volleyball, initiates the new world for the volleyball domain, also has increased the new content for the University sports teaching. However, how to extend the participation awareness of soft volleyball and develop the soft volleyball into a university student's life-long physical movement, it is an important problem that belongs to the volleyball educators.The participation awareness of soft volleyball refers to that individual participates the soft volleyball movement directly or related to soft volleyball indirectly, therefore, it can form to the soft volleyball's cognition, intention and decision-making. It origins from the primary understanding process of soft volleyball, forms in high-level process that the people recognize the volleyball's essence in practice and the inherent laws, and along with the enhancement of soft volleyball's knowledge and skill level, it can strengthen unceasingly to the soft volleyball whole recognization, promote the development and the self-perfection on participation awareness of soft volleyball.The participation awareness of soft volleyball contains three aspects: the soft volleyball's cognition, intention and decision-making. Understand and raise the university students'participation awareness of soft volleyball, may promote education for all-around development effectively and serve well for the life-long physical culture, implement better《National Ordinary College Sports Curriculum Teaching Instruction Summary》.The research carries on the survey questionnaire in view of the Shandong Province 5 ordinary university students, provide 900 questionnaires, and carries on the statistics, the quantitative analysis and the contrast research to the questionnaire survey results, uses quantification processing to the obtained data, and inquires the part primary factor that creates the kind of present situation and the method, the measure and the key to the situation, seeks one effective way that can be helpful in enhancing the university students'participation awareness of soft volleyball, and enhancing physical training behavior, provide the theory and practice reference for improving Shandong Province university students'participation awareness of soft volleyball.Through the questionnaire survey on the present situation and the influencing factors in Shandong Province 5 ordinary university students'participation awareness of soft volleyball, it is finally indicated:1) The Shandong Province ordinary university students'participation awareness of soft volleyball is in the medium level as a whole, the soft volleyball movement is popularizing in Shandong Province ordinary university.2) The Shandong Province ordinary university students'participation awareness of soft volleyball has the significance difference between the different grade. The second grade students'participation awareness of soft volleyball is the highest, and along with the grade ascension, the students'participation awareness of soft volleyball is dropping.3) The Shandong Province ordinary university students'participation awareness of soft volleyball has the significant difference between the male student and female student. There is horizontal difference in the level of participation awareness of soft volleyball.
