The writer aims at delineating the relationship between preparation before class an development of students'thinking ability and further probing into and developing this kind of ability to be an inquirer of new centuy'education by teaching practice in politics of senior school and combining curriculum reform, the content of teaching material, social life and students'actual situation.During the process of teaching research, that theory is linked to practice should be paid attention to. On one hand the writer should make full use of educational and teaching theory, such as pedagogy, psychology and so on, to instruct teaching practice; on the other hand the writer should pay more attention to the distillation of teaching theory and conclude the teaching experience in normal times to form a theory to propel the teaching practice forward.By instructing students before class, we can make students develop the thinking ability, improve validity of teaching politics, form new patterns of instructing students in class and propel educational reform in politics forward. Because of this, there is great improvement both in examination papers and in reality.Although the attempt just begins, we have achieved good results. I would like to make a sustained effort to research the instruction about the preparation before class, to improve students'thinking ability and to propel the class reform forward.
