Developing students' subject ability in Middle school History is not only an important realm of the theory research in history teaching but also the crux of History teaching reform and development. History thinking ability is the nucleus of the subject of History. Developing Middle School students' History thinking ability accords with the demands of teaching aims. It is also an important research task. This helps students form a concept in History and master the procedures and methods of analysis, synthesis and conclusion. The power of expression in History is the final form of subject ability. It is the pillar of grasping the subject ability as well as History thinking ability. The History thinking ability and the power of'expression have close connections. This thesis chiefly sets forth the main procedures, channels and mechods with plenty of teaching cases. It aims to connect the theory of History pedagogy with teaching practice so as to further History teaching reform and promote teaching efficiency.
