There is a history of 20 years of Chemistry Olympic Competition in China.Millions of students participated in the Chemistry Olympic Competition at any level every year.it should be said of the Chemistry Olympic Competition of chemical education has played an active role in Chinese chemistry education.However,some disputes about Chemistry Olympic Competition exist in public opinion.For students having participated in Chemistry Competition as the research object,personal interviews and questionnaires as the main research methods,The paper has Comprehensive and in-depth investigation and analysis of chemical Olympic impact on students.The investigation analysis the advantages and disadvantages of chemical Olympic Competition's impression from the students' point of view,and also express views to some controversial issues.By analysing the purposes,functions and selection of test methods and chemical competition etc.,we can see that chemistry Olympiad system has played a role in the selection and cultivation of the school's outstanding students.It also availed to the development of students' creative thinking,study ability and the overall quality.In this study,I have inquired the development of outstanding Hunan players after their shcool until now,who win in the international Chemistry Olympic Competition continuously.By analysing the survey of students from high school students to College Students and graduates and the interview with about twenty students in university and after,I got that the development of chemical competition benefits for the development of students' imagination,logical thinking and innovative thinking,such as the quality of thinking,the ability to observe students,self-learning ability and practical ability,such as experimental learning ability,but we need to pay attention to guiding students' interst and respect it,and pay attention to the coordination and developments of students' competition subject and other disciplines.The research makes a combination of Questionnaire survey and personal interviews,which makes point combined with aspect, so that the conclusion of the study is both comprehensive and specific.There are many controversial issues on public opinion about the Chemistry Olympiad recently years.This article focuses on the influence of Chemistry Olympic Contest to the students' thinking quality and learning ability by short-term and long-term,but pay attention to long-term effects.The study aims to help people as much as possible to have a comprehensive understanding of the Olympic competitions and have a reasonable evaluation on the influence and significance of the Chemistry Olympic education to the students,on their thinking quality and learning ability by the long-term.
