| The purpose of secondary school art teaching is not to train students to be great artists or just practise the art skill but to bring up students'observation, enrich their emotion , flourish their thought and inspire their creativity so that they will become citizens with great character and good health instead of those just with high IQ but without any character. However, in practice, it is the fact that the teachers emphasize art only, while the art courses are usually ignored; and the students love arts but don't enjoy art teaching. This problem arises from the teaching. Today, as a required course of the nine-year compulsory education, art is becoming more and more important . because art is a subject which requires creativity. During the learning processes, it expresses people's emotion, attitude, wisdom and technique. So art teaching should make students feel with their own hearts ,get involved in their learning process and enjoy it. It stresses students'individual experience to life, emotion, attitude, value, volition taste and sentiment etc. It emphasizes individual learning manners and the learning processes instead of just taking into account students'study results. Emphasizing the innovation of teaching processes and teaching methods and the evaluation of students'learning abilities, behavior, emotion and the attitude to the world and life are the features of the innovation in art teaching. In the past, just students'IQ caught people's attention. But it is this innovation that causes people to care not only students'IQ but also their EQ. With the practice of emotional teaching being carried on in secondary schools, art teaching is taking the students'audiovisual experience, individual practice, practical operation as it's main ways and apperception—sensibility—presentation as the three-step teaching pattern to expatiate the necessity , feasibility ,and strategy in the sentimental education used in the secondary school art teaching, trying to elicit the students'sensibility ,waken their enthusiasm ,boost their creativity and at the same time arouse their love for the country and their motivation to pursue the ideal life and design a bright future for themselves. Only in this way students can achieve a balance between sentimental and rational cognition and ultimately become qualified modern citizens in harmonious progress. |
