Recently during the practice with the reading-dialogue teaching theory in Chinese teaching, there has been a phenomenon called"Anti-text"(digressing from the main subject),which is expected for great attention.This paper is devoted to examining the role of the text as a Para-subject, and provides enlightenment for the practice of the new reading teaching idea. It is based on the former related research and has the dialogue theory for reference, combined with the Post-modern Curriculum Theory and the theory of the western interpretation and literature. It is also based on the curriculum criterion of Chinese, combined with the actual teaching situation.The paper focuses on the role the of the text in reading-dialogue teaching ,believing that it's far from enough to simply point out that the text ,as a Para-subject in the dialogue, is the medium of dialogue. The key point should be focused on reading the text and on the role of the text in reading-dialogue teaching, and exploring the way of understanding and trying to achieving the perfect formation of the text and reading-dialogue teaching.Dialogue is a course of mobility, where people enjoy exchanging ideas, understanding the meaning and sharing ideas. The text is created with a nature of communication and only when being read, it brings itself true life. The text has gained the role of"Para-subject"in the"reader-oriented"theory. Reading is a course of spirit. Dialogue is achieved by reaching the relationship between the readers and the text. Reading-dialogue is achieved by reading form characterized by the dialogue between the readers (the teacher and the students) and the text, followed by the dialogue between the teacher and students, between the students in class. The teaching form aims at getting the students talk with the text as a reader and in the group dialogue, share the meaning of the text, and form a basic understanding. This is a formation of dynamic knowledge, combined with static knowledge.During the dialogue, the teacher acts as"the chief one in the equal relationship", as a coordinator, a guide and one of the participators .In the group dialogue, the text is the key member of the subjects. The topic of the dialogue is related to the text, and from the text .Readers"listen to"the text with their own ideas and through lines understand the true meaning of the text, using the metaphor and description to express the"first impression"on the text. The teacher and students further renew the understanding of the text by listening to others and enrich the meaning of the text through the group dialogue, sharing the understanding with each other. The teacher together with the students, and the text interact with each other, considering the intention of the writer, of the text and of the reader, and form a basic understanding of the text, directed by the main stream value, then transform it into something inside and improve self-value step by step, thus the readers can go up to a new level.In a word, the text has gained the role as a Para-subject, and it is a kernel concept accompanied by dialogue, and the basic of reading teaching .Leading the text into the dialogue, communicating with the readers, giving the students a chance to feel the text, expressing the"first impression"on the text, putting away their own ideas and others'ideas, joining in the group thinking, and sharing the true meaning of the text are the perfect formation of the text and reading teaching in reading-dialogue teaching.
