Composition teaching, which occupies a large proportion in themiddle school Chinese teaching and is regarded as the most difficultitem in Chinese teaching, is most frequently criticized. The reasons lie inthe facts that the traditional composition training can't achieveremarkable success and that most of middle school students can'tapproach the good writing state. As a result, the students would be lack ofenthusiasm for writing. Composition training, with the teachers'instruction, is conducted compulsorily in terms of writing norms. For ateacher, the important task in composition training is to make students'mood activated and help students dispel fears of writing. Both measuresreflect a teacher's ability level in composition teaching. Having absorbedother people's achievement in composition teaching and combing withthe author's practical working experience in middle school education, thisthesis put forward the idea of activating and maintaining middle schoolstudents' best writing state. Based on the students' developmentalregularity and purpose of composition teaching, the thesis aims to probeinto the way of bringing students' major role as described in ChineseCurriculum Standard into play and the way of activating students'potential writing need to a dynamic performance. In another word, thethesis focus on how to activate students' vigor in writing and how toadjust students' mood in writing to the best state——by changing thestate "I am asked to write" to the one " I want to write". The thesis alsobased itself on the constructive learning theory and educationalpsychology concerning mental mechanism of writing. The newrequirements in composition teaching raised by Chinese Curriculum Standard are consulted as well.Nowadays lots of middle school students are tired of writing. Dueto their low spirit in writing and there rigid thinking, their imaginationand creativeness in writing seem exhausted .After making some caseanalysis, this thesis put forward some detailed strategies to solve theseproblems. These writing strategies involve four aspects: the motivation,the mood, the activation of vigor in thinking and the breakthrough of thetough stage in writing. Apart from this, the thesis also raised its own viewabout how a teacher correctly plays a leading role in these four aspects.By getting rid of some disadvantages in the traditional compositionteaching, a new mode of teaching and learning is constructed. Thebreakthrough in the traditional composition teaching will help teachersfind a practical and feasible road to reform, through which the studentswill finally approach the best witting state——they want to write, the canwrite and they can write well.
