The living way of individual teacher concers the developmentof the teachers. In recent years, the living condition of themiddle-school teachers in China has been improved greatly, butit is the fact that they are still short of specialityindependence for a long period. The right of specialityindependence is the premise of creating the meaningful andvaluble life. The lack of independence means teachers are shortof the room in which they can produce and develop theirindividualities. The teachers can have the possibility ofcreating an excellent life, only in the base of owningspeciality independence.Using the method of educational narrative, this article putsemphasis on the living state of the teachers and describes theteachers' workplaces: the classroom, the meeting-romm and theoffice. Based on these three scenes, it tries to present the realappearance and substance of the teachers about the lack ofspeciality independence. Through analysing reasons leading tothe lack of speciality independence, this article poses that tiis the key for achieving the teachers' speciality independenceto awake the teachers' independence consciousness.The whole article can be divided into four parts.Part One:Introdution. Based on the background of issue, thispart introduces the current situation on studying teachers inChina and abroad, study method and some definitions onteachers' speciality independence.Part Two:Presentation and analysis on the teachers'routine living state at school. By describing and analysing three scenes: classroom, meeting-room and office, the articleis to present the main three phenomena on the lack of specialityindependence for teachers, the lack of the right on teachingindependence;the lack of the right on self-evaluting, the lackof the right on participation in school affairs.Part Three:Analysing the main obstacles on the lack ofspeciality independence. The essence of occupation;themanagement of school;the control of expert systematicknowledge and the lack of the ability for teachers themselvesare the important reasons.Part Four:The strategies of achieving specialityindependence for teachers. Awaking the teachers' independenceconsciousness is the key of achieving specialityindependence. School should creat a loose enviroment and giveteachers more freedom;teacher-education should try to trainteachers' independence consciousness;teacher should promotetheir ability of independence.
