Nowadays, intensive competitions in job-hunting have become one ofthe main causes of graduates pressures. Facing job-hunting pressure, how tochoose coping style directly influences post match, utilization of individualcapability and organizational performance.The main purpose of this study is to analysis the features of graduatesjob-hunting coping style and its relationship with Occupational ChoiceSelf-efficacy (OCSE), therefore graduates and Career Center can discoverthe characteristics of graduates job-hunting and control the subjectivity ofthe coping and improve the rationality of the choice.Literature survey, interview survey and questionnaires are adopted inthe study. Based on literature review of current research on graduatescoping style, some graduates are interviewed. The results of interviewsurvey indicate that there are some differences of graduates job-huntingcoping style in their gender, major and economic condition.By prediction, a formal questionnaire are shaped, which is constitutedby three factors named problem solving style, negative style and rationalstyle. With this questionnaire, some graduates are surveyed to know thestatus of Job-hunting coping style and OCSE, and their relationship is alsoanalyzed.Investigation results reveal that, in terms of job-hunting coping style,problem solving style has little difference in each item of demographybackground, so do the rational style. Negative style has distinct differencesin the interactions between gender and major, gender and habitation, genderand economic condition. On the other hand, in terms of OCSE, distinctdifferences exist in those aspects, such as gender in self-concept andself-evaluation, habitation and economic condition in social support, andgrade in self-evaluation, self-concept and study capacity. Besides, thestudents majoring in arts have more distinct study capacity than those in medicine. Its relationship shows that, to a certain extent, we can forecastgraduates how to cope with job-hunting by OCSE.Finally, we propose some suggestions on career design, corecompetitiveness training and vocationally mental guidance.
