Middle school physics is a very practical curriculum, of which the experiment is a very important link. For a long time,there is an acute lack of experimental equipment in many middle schools due to our country's insufficient investment into the elementary education. And object experiment is not so successful under the influence of environment, condition and not enough preparation. Moreover, restricted by place, time and so on, the students do not have much chance to do object experiment. Even if in the process of experiment, in order to protect the instrument and reduce loses, many restrictions are set on students'operation, which actually binds them hand and foot , and thus affects the development of students'awareness of innovation.In order to solve this problem, this article attempts to research and develop middle school electricity virtual experiment platform. I have investigated and studied the existing experiment software for middle school physics, and I know their merits and defects. Based on this, in view of the present situation of teaching physics experiment, I researched and designed the electrical experiment platform for the middle school physics.In the process of platform design, we had fully considered the present situation of high school physics experiment and the need of education for all-around development, and melted new educational thought and idea into it, that is, students are allowed to make mistakes instead of limiting them on making mistakes, so they can learn knowledge by trial and error. Meanwhile, we make careful analysis of the traditional experiment, and determine which details are necessary for the teaching objective , which details may be neglected, enabling the platform to have as good teaching effect as possible. Technologically, we use the object-oriented design pattern method, with Visual C++ as the development platform , and uses OpenGL to realize the three dimensional simulation.The platform system can completely simulate the real world physical phenomenon, such as real-time change of ampere meter, and the change of light bulb brightness, even the burndown of parts because of the overload. Students may feel completely free to assemble the experiment, and the physical phenomenon caused by wrong assembly can also completely imitate the real environment. The system can deal with short-circuits, multi- power sources , and support circuit network. The system has provided such functions as generating experiment report, demonstrating and leading out experiment data, storing and restoring experiment scene, thus can well meet the needs of middle school teachers and students in their teaching and learning.
