It is an exploratory subject to alleviate students'test anxiety with music. This subject not only can promote the further development of the music therapy and educational psychology theories, but also have certain instruction value to the mental health education of the school. Therefore it has the dual significance in the theories and practice.In order to find out how the receptive music therapy alleviate junior high school students'test anxiety, 40 junior high school students are chosen as the object of this experiment (Half have music basis, and the left haven't). All the students are assigned to experimental group and controlled group randomly. The receptive music therapy is adopted in experimental group, while it doesn't adopted in the controlled group does not. The experimental group and controlled group are all tested on test anxiety, mental health and examination before and after the experiment. The experimental group is tested according to a 2×2 factorial design. Through 2×2 design, we would know how the music affects the students with music basis and the students without music basis respectively, and how different types of music affect these students, and how two factors'interaction affects the experiment result. Finally, we would analyze students'feedback information.The result:1. The receptive music therapy can alleviate the student's test anxiety effectively;2. The receptive music therapy alleviates the student's test anxiety by controlling the emotion;3. The receptive music therapy can improve students'mental health by alleviating test anxiety;4.The receptive music therapy also has influence on student's mental health factors including obsessive—compulsive symptom, interpersonal sensitivity and depressive symptom;5. The receptive music therapy can promote students'mathematics examination achievement by alleviating test anxiety;6. It is more possible for students with music basis to be influenced in music therapy test;7. The stimulating music is also good to alleviate test anxiety;8. The two factors: music type and music basis, have no interaction effect.The result proves that: The receptive music therapy can not only alleviate junior school students'test anxiety, but also improve mental health and mathematics examination achievement to some extent. Therefore, the receptive music therapy can be adopted as a valid method of school mental health education of junior school students. It deserves popularization.
