No matter chemistry course on the stage of compulsory education or common senior high school chemistry course, this all regarded cultivating and improving students'scientific literacy as tenet. Under the reform of new class, in order to cultivate and improve students'scientific literacy, we should still pay much attention on the approach and method of holding and gaining knowledge by students; only make students become real construction persons can we really cultivate and improve students'scientific literacy.Chemistry concept is the essential reflection of chemical phenomenon. In senior high school chemistry teaching, by force of the influence of pressure of entering higher grade school, many chemistry teachers and students still used traditional teaching method and studying method to teach and study chemical concept; students hardly forwardly participated in the knowledge construction for concept, and the holding of knowledge still stayed at primary level.The opinion of constructivism holds that knowledge is a kind of subjective existence. Students'knowledge construction has activity study, observing study and symbol study three approaches. There are two reverse effecting modes in the process of knowledge construction: assimilation and conformance. Concept mapping can highly concentrate knowledge and distinctly unveil essential of significance construction study. Bringing concept mapping cognizing tool into class teaching can combine well three approaches of students'knowledge construction. Therefore concept mapping is effective tool for improving students'knowledge construction. Concept mapping has been widely studied and applied by regarding as a kind of effective strategy overseas. However, in our country, this kind of study is little, especially less in applicable study of chemistry subject teaching. Therefore I brought forward the task of using concept mapping to improve students'knowledge construction in senior high school chemistry teaching in this essay.This essay is divided into five parts.First part: put forward problem. In this part I expatiated selecting topic and significance of this study, explained main problem and content structure of the study and defined pertinent conception and meaning referred in this study.Second part: summarize theory of this study. Summarized concept mapping, then analyzed main approach and effect system of students'knowledge construction under construction knowledge conception and dissertated that concept mapping is an effective tool to improve knowledge construction.Third part: research on the construction of teaching pattern of using concept mapping. To explain teaching pattern from the three aspects of teaching aim, teaching process (divided as new knowledge class, review class and experiment class) and detailed teaching strategy, and analyzed the difference between this teaching pattern and traditional chemistry concept teaching pattern.Fourth part: study on using concept mapping to improve students'knowledge construction. Studied whether the chemistry teaching pattern of using concept mapping to improve students'knowledge construction is more effective than traditional chemistry concept teaching pattern and understand the difference of the improving degree of school work grade by this teaching pattern for the students with different cognizing mode.Fifth part: conclusion, suggestion and consideration.
