How to appraise human resources accurately is the premise of recruitment and selection. For this goal there are more and more methods of recruitment and selection such as written examination, disposition test, psychological test, interview, no-leader team discussion and assessment center. Interview is the most widely used method among these.During its 100-year development the interview technology has been criticized, praised, structured, enlarged, tested, recorded and analyzed. It has been studied by many scholars from management, psychology, sociology and public administration. The emphasizes and the focuses of the researches have shifted many times. Many subjects such as the structure, validity, reliability, and predictive power of the interview have been investigated and analyzed. Through the development of interview we can divide research orientation into 3 lines: putting research emphasis on the factor of persons during interview, putting research emphasis on the interview structure and meta-analysis research of interview. All the research results provide powerful support for the effectiveness of interview.As the researches went deep, the modern structural interview appeared. Structure is introduced into interview in the modern structural interview. Structure means the method in which interview process and interview estimation process are strictly controlled. It stipulates the questions such as "what to ask","how to ask","when to ask"from the point of interview process. It also stipulates the questions such as"what to appraise","how to appraise","how to explain the result of appraisement"from the point of the estimation process. The structural degree puts very important effect on the validity of interview. On this basis many kinds of effectively practical interview were produced, for eg. the STAR method.In this research both person and structure are the objects so that the relation between them can be found. The structural interview is used as the investigation background to assure the validity of interview process and in order that the research result can be put into practice easily. This research develops and draws lessons from the former research as the manner of controlling the factors of the experiment. This research imitates structural interview in real circumstances through the experimental method, takes the action of making a detailed inquiry, the first impression and the type of information absence as the independent variable, and uses experiment design to study the appraisement process of structural interview. The data is disposed by anova and the results show that:(1) The way of questioning closely is just the method of receiving the information. Although the interviewers employ different ways of questioning closely, it will not impact their appraisal on the interviewees, when the interviewers have received the same enough information.(2) As the important fact which has impact on the interview results, the impact of primacy effect will directly decide the result of the short-time interview. While it will weaken as time goes on.(3) The order that the interviewer receives the information will impact his final appraisal on the interviewee and this expresses contrast effect。It means that the appraisal standard of the interviewer is changing in the same interview.(4) The results of this research can be directly spread to the practice basically, especially suitable for the interviewees without any experience or with little experience.
