The Research Of Xinjiang Kirgiz Nationality Elementary And Middle Schools Bilingual Education

The Research of Bilingual Education in Kirgiz Nationality Schools of Xinjiang bases on bilingual education in Kirgiz Nationality schools of three countries and one city in Kezilesu Autonomous Prefecture and the field investigation of bilingual teaching. It uses these theories that are bilingual education, educational sociology, psychology, national pedagogy and so on. It overall investigates the present situations, achievements, patterns, existing problems and bilingual attitude of bilingual education in Kirgiz Nationality schools by visiting and talking, questionnaires and combining the research on documents. It discovered the Chinese base is weak. The communications between Kirgiz language and Chinese are restricted because people do not know how to use two kinds of languages. This thesis puts forward that Kirgiz Nationality schools must insist on bilingual education of Kirgiz language and Chinese. We must devote major efforts to developing regional economy and improving the whole national bilingual level. Kirgiz and other nationalities grasp the opportunity of Western Development to open a new chapter of Kirgiz national education.
