As the highest stage of the intermediate education, senior middle school education bridges the nine-year-compulsory education and the advanced education and plays an important role in cultivating students' qualifications as well as perfecting their personalities. As a matter of fact, the present curriculum system cannot meet the need of the modern society because it has long been affected by the examination-oriented education, in which the value of student-centre has been neglected while only knowledge has been much focused on. As mentioned above, the new curriculum reform is on the way.Compared with the former curriculum, the new curriculum reform owns some certain obvious changes in the curriculum object, structure, contents, practice and assessment, etc. According to its requirements, the new curriculum fully embodies the modern education idea, that is, "student-development centre"; focuses on the variation of the students' development; encourages their creativity; guides their active participation and exploration as well as practice. In the perspective of the new curriculum, the students' learning style has been completely changed, which is an important reform in the history of the curriculum development.The curriculum object lies in accelerating the students' development and perfection, laying a foundation for their life-span development and happy life. All the requirements considered, the new curriculum should embody its unique value of humanism. Being an important part of humanism subjects, the new curriculum reform enriches the humanism properties. This thesis briefly analyses the humanism properties of the New Ideology-Politics Curriculum for Senior Middle Schools, inquires into the new form of the value of the humanism of the new curriculum, tries to find out the practical ways to carry it out. Moreover, this thesis aims at providing certain guidance to carrying out the value of humanism of the new curriculum in order to better reach the goal of humanism of the new curriculum.
