Mainly from the angles to the reform such as the theory, the direction, the tactics, the speed, we compared the educational reform with the economic reform. We can get some enlightenment about educational reform:Chapter 1 deals with the theory of the reform. The economic reform has broken Marxism's traditional theory about socialism, and has built socialist market economy theory in process. But, Chinese education has been continuing the traditional theory. Perhaps this is the important cause that delayed the educational reform. Traditional Marxism need some innovation, for example, a public ownership of the means of production, the overall development of human being.Chapter 2 addresses the direction of the reform. In economic reform, the government has changed it's role, and it allow enterprise to handle it's own affair. On the other hand, it expanded the portion of the market, and it developed the private businesses. This is the general direction to the reform. It is also the important factor that lead the economical reform to success. But government has managed too many things. Government should change their role, Government need to transform their function. We should expand the right to increase independence of the schools. We should increase the educational market share, and develop the private education.Chapter 3 addresses the tactics of the reform. The are three important aspects in economical reform. Firstly, use experiment. Before significant policy is published we usually carry out an experiment to see it is good or not. Secondly, we pay attention to the institution and property. Thirdly, we take great efforts to develop increment. These tactics have brought about enormous benefit for Chinese economic reform. But there is a few problems in this three tactics applying in educational reform. for example, the experiment range is excessively narrow, the momentum of the experiment is insufficient; we did not pay attention to institution and property; we focused on "the store amounts", we did not pay enough attention to develop "increment".Chapter 4 dells on the the speed of the reform. There are about 30 years from the 1978 that we begined the economical reform. But judging from entirety, Chinese economical growth and the speed of reform is very quickly. We discovered that educational reform is being behind economical reform 10 years or so at least when we take comparison between the measure of educational reform and the measure of economical reform. This requires that the educational reform have crisis of consciousness, outstanding person of consciousness and exceed consciousness.
