The Current Situation Of Undergraduate's Political Participation And Countermeasures

Political participation is an important way of university students' self-education. It is also an important way for their political socialization. Through political participation , the university students can obtain experience of political participation and the ability to distinguish the right and wrong , which will lay a solid foundation for adapting the future political life. University students' political quality and the political participation ability has an important influence on our country's democratic political development.The thesis with Marxist theory as guide , Comprehensively applying the theories of Politics, Sociology, Ideological Political Education, analyzes the situation of current university students' political participation and explores the countermeasure to improve the university students' political participation from the perspective of university students' ideological and political education .The thesis includes four parts:In the first part, the author defines the connotation of university students' political participation and analyzes the significance and important methods of university students' political participation. The author points out university students' political participation in an orderly way will help to improve socialist democracy and maintain social stability.In the second part, the author analyzes the situation of current university students' political participation, especially the existing problems . Following our country's market economy system's establishment and the political system's reform, there are some new characteristics to appear about university students' political participation. On the whole, it shows the positive development tendency, such as university students are more rational to participate, the channels of participation are more diversiform, and the participant main body degree is enhanced and so on. But there are still some problems, such as some university students' political cognition is ambiguous; political evaluation is utilitarian; the political participation is insufficient, even in different; network political participation is out-of-order; political efficiency is low and so on.In the third part, the thesis explores the factors that affect university students' political participation. The author points out the factors affect are various, such as the transformations of style of obtaining employment and distribution influences motivation of university students' political participation and involvement of participant activity; traditional political culture influences establishment of the dominant consciousness in the political participant; Western political ideological trend and value judgment have an impact on university students' political thought; imperfect system of political participation restricts university students' political participation; the existing problem in ideological and political education influences cultivation of university students' participant consciousness and direction of participant activity and so on.In the forth part, the author comes up with the following countermeasure to improve the university students' political participation, such as enhancing the ideological and political education to raise their political participation consciousness and the participation ability; Improving the political couture of socialist democracy to create a favorable participation environment; deepening reform of political system and consummating the political participation channel to offer institutional safeguard for university students' political participation.
