Over the last 20 years, as increasing of global environmental pollution, shortage of energy and public concern of environmental protection and sustainable human development, environmental education is being paid more and more attention at present. High school stage is the period which forms ideas and ideologies from formation to maturity. Unique vision of chemistry is closely related to environmental issues. This thesis adopts literature approach, questionnaire survey, interview and education experiment and other methods of teaching to issues related to high school chemistry environmental education. The research results showed : chemistry and environmental has a lot similarity and histocompatibility. Environmental teaching in high school chemistry education, will not only allow the students to understand the cause, harm and control measures of environment pollution, but also enhance their awareness of environmental protection and enable them to know how to protect natural resources and environment in the future. Environmental teaching guides high school students to environment and sustainable development.The article is divided into six parts :Part I: Expatiate the environmental education and the history of the origin, content and features.Part II: The status of environmental education in our country has been analyzed . the quality of the environment survey on high school teachers and students has been made. According to the survey, problems that exist in the current high school environmental education has been pointed out.Part III : Analysis of the chemical and environmental issues, new curriculum standards in the area of environmental education, and the current high school chemistry textbook environmental education elements in Hubei Province, summary of teaching high school chemistry and environmental education with the need and urgency.Part IV : Indicate the high school chemistry teaching environmental education goals and content. Discussion of environmental education means and methods, and combine their teaching experience and case studies, According to the existing high school chemistry textbook and new curriculum standards, developed a specific and feasible implementation of the program.Part V : Based on the teaching practice, Three strong representation to the environmental education of cases to illustrate the high school chemistry teaching implementation of environmental education feasibility.Part VI : summed up of the existing problems in high school chemistry and environmental education teaching, then giving out the relevant recommendations and the efforts should be made to the future.
