After the NPC&CPCC, a series of policies on the compulsory education were made more specific and confirmed, China's compulsory education will be able to popularize in our country. With the popularization of compulsory education, on the contrary, the higher education becomes the focal point of people, especially in terms of the ever-increasing tuition fee, family financial burden on higher education, and fairness of education. There are heated debates on line, on newspaper and other mass media about above problems, especially about the relation between factors of family and higher education consumption.Viewing this reality background, this paper is precisely based on the theory home-and-abroad on family's higher education expense and the practice research, sampling from the 12 colleges or universities of Chengdu, uses the questionnaire survey to collect data, and then conducts the empirical study on the university students' family higher education expense in Chengdu. Finally, the paper makes a series of conclusion for reference.Firstly, the paper proposes the practice background and significance, summing up related research on the topic, and then makes clear this paper's big question mark, research techniques and the framework.Secondly, the paper explains the conception and relating terms on household higher education consumption, and defines the research bound, constructing a relatively complete framework. Based on the real survey practice, the research is feasible and practical. This early works forms the base of following research.Thirdly, the paper uses the regression analysis and ANOVA, analyzes the survey data, and fines some implication of higher education per household in Chengdu. And this is the big question mark of this paper. This key part of the research goes in this way:l, specific explanations on survey data, including data source, sampling way. 2, specific explanations on variables. 3, developing the basic five models using regression analysis and ANOVA. 4, focal core of the paper: using SPSS13.0 software to statistically analyze and explain the collecting data of the questionnaire survey.Finally, based on the results of the investigation and analysis, the paper proposes some political suggestions for country and universities, some feasible suggestions for. family and some suggestions for higher education receiver (undergraduates).These suggestions are significant to decrease the family higher education expense and make the expense more reasonable. All these conclusions could make a little positive reference effect on higher education developing.
