As the traditional virtues of China,Gratitude is an ethical conduct that every one of us should have.However,in our daily life,influenced by various factors of foreign culture and market economy at the moment,it is often seen the phenomenon of moral decline,such as the commons of apathy,ingratitude and even enmity.This negative social mode has many disadvantages.For an individual,it is not conducive to the cultivation of good moral character and the establishment of harmonious interpersonal relationship;for the society,it not only seriously hinders the inheritance of Chinese outstanding culture,but also has a bad effect on the formation of good morality.And thus the construction of socialist harmonious society is affected.In view of this,it is important to strengthen the Gratitude education,arouse people's feelings of the heart,cultivate their sense of gratitude and make them have a feeling to thank the life,others,society and nature in the real life.This contributes to improving people's moral self-cultivation,promoting the development of the traditional Chinese culture and virtue further,enriching Gratitude education theory,and broadening the channels of Gratitude education.Firstly,combined with the viewpoints of Chinese and overseas scholars and relevant knowledge of ideological and political education,the author describes the gratitude and Gratitude education respectively.Based on this,she continues to discuss the related theories of Gratitude education from the perspectives of philosophy,psychology and pedagogy.Secondly,through the analysis of Chinese and America gratitude spirits in the historical origins,the author discusses and explores the Gratitude education from the aspects of the natural environment and the social human environment,and then she summarizes the characteristics and commons of the Gratitude education in China and US by comparing their cultural backgrounds,contents and ways.Finally,under the premise of respecting native culture and principle of selecting the essence and discarding the gross,we should learn lessons from Chinese and America Gratitude education critically,meanwhile put forward some inspiring and targeted measures in terms of Gratitude education's content,way and system,so as to enhance the effectiveness of Gratitude education in our country.
