“Chinese calligraphy is known to all as the supreme art in the world. Because it canshow amazing miracle, which is colorless and silent, but has the brightness of pictures, theharmony of music. It can also attract people to appreciate and gladden people’s heart.” saidthe famous calligrapher Shen yimo. Chinese calligraphy as one of the four quintessentialforms of Chinese culture has evolved with the Chinese character culture together, whichhas more than5,000year’s history. No.1Senior Middle school where the author works isfamous as “Millennium Academy” and has profound culture foundation. The leader in theschool has chosen calligraphy as curriculum to develop, which has far-reachingsignificance.The reason why the author chosen the thesis is that the author pays more attention to the“fortune” and “misfortune” of calligraphy education of Senior Middle school. It is alsowhat the author wants to do during the reform of the school curriculum of Qingzhou No.1Middle School, including the pain of developing the curriculum and the happiness ofachieving the goal.At present, calligraphy education is faced with the embarrassed situation where primaryschools and colleges think highly of it, while middle schools almost ignore it.Unfortunately, our school as a senior middle school is embarrassed. As we all know,National College Entrance Exam baton is an obstacle for China to implement qualityeducation. Despite it, we are still determined to spare some time to carry out the reform ofcurriculum, which is because calligraphy plays an important role in our quality education.That is to say, it is beneficial to students’ all-round development of morality, intelligencephysique and aesthetic.The purpose of learning calligraphy is to inherit the excellent traditional culture of China.Calligraphy is hoped to return to elementary education, during the times when computerstake the place of calligraphy education. Students can enjoy the beauty of Chinese charactersand calligraphy. Meanwhile, students can benefit from famous and inspiring stories andmottos of calligraphers. Students can write a beautiful handwriting and improve theirculture quality. Students are able to keep calm in the environment with a high pace of life. What’s more, during the course of their learning calligraphy, students will take great pridein our excellent culture.According to the Curriculum Reform at the primary education in China now, the researchof calligraphy from home and abroad and the experiment and study from Qingzhou No.1Middle School, this thesis discusses the development and utilization of CalligraphyResources. We hope that we can make full use of our Academic Resources that people paylittle attention to. Therefore, calligraphy becomes the feature of our school. At the sametime, we hope we can give reference for other middle schools. Eventually, that makes moreand more students appreciate and value calligraphy. What’s more, students will become thetransmitter of our Chinese splendid culture.
