As an important component of China’s traditional arts, China calligraphy is akind of characteristictraditional art formsof the Chinese nation, it mainly uses theChinese characters stipple structure, composition, ink pen with the line of beautifulshape, to express people’s emotion. When on the image of the life, calligraphy is anart. This is the uniqueness of the Chinese calligraphy art, and different from other artspecial place. Today, at the time of the great revival of Chinese national culture,applies calligraphy in calligraphy education shows the glare in qualityeducation ofprimary and secondary school, it plays an important role to inherit and carry forwardthe great Chinese nation culture.This paper’s research mainly use the internship opportunities, go to the schooland classroom, collecting first-hand data, mainly inspects the school environment,teachers’ teaching, classroom atmosphere, students calligraphy activities, performanceand other aspects of the experience, make the lecture records, exchanges with teachersand students, finally do the summary and analysis. At the same time, this research alsouses the literature method, observation method, interview method and so on, to ensurethe comprehensive and concreteness of theoretical basis and the practical research.The literature collection mainly through reading a number of books of Chinesecalligraphy art, collecting the relevant information of modern calligraphy educationabout primary and secondary schools.This article is divided into four chapters. The first chapter expounds theimportance of carrying out the calligraphy in education primary and secondaryschools, and puts forward the significance and research value of calligraphy education.The second chapter expounds theinvestigation of elective course "calligraphy andpainting" in practice high school, and the field trip of part of Chongqing primary andsecondary school during the course of the internship. The third chapter analyzes theproblems existing in the calligraphy education of art teaching application in primaryand middle school, respectively from the attitude of the school, teachers’ quality andstudent performance and so on,and the calligraphy education enlightenment of a middle school in Chongqing is summarized.The fourth chapter puts forwardcountermeasures about how to strengthen the calligraphy education in primary andsecondary schools, and its basic performance have been proved in the practice of theschool. The final conclusion, calligraphy education can be effectively implemented inprimary and secondary schools.As the representative of China’s outstandingtraditional culture and precious art treasure, we should let this excellent culture to getprotection, inheritance and carry forward.This paper makesan explores about the application of calligraphy education inChongqing X primary and secondary schools,especially today in the popularization ofquality education, it makes a certainreference value and the important realisticsignificance about popularizing the calligraphy education in other areas.
