Discussion On The Verbal Property As The Essential Nature Of Chinese Subject

The essential nature of Chinese subject is neither as an instrumental property, nor humanity, let alone their combination. Others such as sociality, humanity, integrity and foundation are even more unreliable as the essence for Chinese subject. All of these arguments in part reflect the characteristic of Chinese subject, but they are not able to discover the essential nature of Chinese subject on basic.What is the essential nature of Chinese subject? Based on lots of theoretical findings and combined with teaching practice, the author believes that the essential nature of Chinese subject should be its verbal property. In a critical and constructive manner, non- essential properties of Chinese subject such as instrumental property, humanity and the combination between instrumental property and humanity are reasonably criticized. Starting from the analysis of meanings of Chinese as a course, it is concluded that the essence for Chinese subject by dialectically analyzing the meanings of Chinese in views of language and speech. And on the basis of these judgments, the frame of verbal course including the concept, characteristic, teaching objective is constructed. Meanwhile, the author thinks teaching practice is consisted of elements and Chinese course teaching, the later includes three parts, i.e. Chinese subject is a verbal practice based on verbal forms, the key to learning Chinese course is to grasp the conversion between speech and meaning, and the focus of teaching Chinese is to develop the abilities of students to use verbal expression in practice. In the above-mentioned perspective, the theoretical proposition, i.e. the essential property of Chinese subject is its verbal property, is further expounded and argued.The author do not want to make conspicuous to suggest this proposition, this judgment is derived from rationally considering and analyzing to discover the truth for the essential property of Chinese subject, at the mean time it is expected to provide a new view and reference for researchers and teachers on this topic.
