With the rapid development of computer technology and the wide spread of internet , people find in surprise that computer penetrates into every field in society, which brings profound revolution to work and daily life.The computer technology is mainly applied in education, with its enormous influence in the field. And physics teaching in middle school is one of the core bases for its application. If we search"虚拟实验(Virtual experiments)"via baidu, we can get 143,000 results,"虚拟物理实验(Virtual physical experiments)", 2,910 items of results. Via google, we may get approximately 9,190,000 items,"虚拟物理实验(Virtual physical experiments)", 1,500,000 (search time23:02, February 27, 2007). Although computer technology is widely used in classroom, it is still in a very early stage when people are still used to taking it as a tool like slides to explain simple facts. Its potential has never been fully exploited. The author majors in the teaching of physical experiments in middle school, and takes the combination of computer technology and experiment teaching as the project of post graduate research.Therefore, this thesis is a summary of the author's researches in the past years. This article is altogether constituted of six parts. Chapter 1 begins with the research background, the research methods, and the primary definitions of the related concepts. Chapter 2 provides some theoretical bases and principles. Chapter 3 introduces some common soft wares applied in the research. Chapter 4 looks into the origin of the research and the possible method to put it into practice. Based on the features of physical experiment and interrelated theories, the author designed a common software for virtual physical experiment in middle school. Chapter 5 considers other factors that influence the design of virtual experiments and the limits of the experiment itself and some solutions. Chapter 6 is about review and prospect, it points out the shortcomings of the study. With the development of artificial intelligence and virtual reality, closer interactions, vaster openness, higher intelligence will be the trends of the virtual experiments based on common softwares.
