The most profound curriculum reform is being carried out since the building of Republic of China. The curriculum reform includes many aspects such as the adjustment of curriculum structure, the establishment of curriculum criterion, the exploitation and utilization of the curriculum resource and the valuation of the curriculum. The teaching material is not only the most important curriculum resource in our schooling, but also the most important symbol which can judge the level of basic education in one country or district. In 2001, Department of Education promulgated mathematics curriculum standardization of all—day compulsory education (trial draft), in which our country encourages the institutions related to compile and publish different editions of teaching materials according to curriculum criterion. Then the situation of teaching material market's monopolization is opened by many kinds of editions which not only let different districts select suitable teaching material in their own, but also offer spacious teaching space for teachers of various districts.In this thesis, on the basic of research achievements of others, penperson makes an intensive study of two sets of mathematics trial textbooks. The contents are following:First of all, introduce the history and actuality of mathematics teaching material in junior high school, then analyze the trend of mathematics curriculum reform combining with the curriculum criterion. There are some new trends of development in mathematics details. Penman putsforward five principles of compiling mathematics trial textbooks。Secondly, compare and study these two--edition mathematics trial textbooks, (Grade 7 (1)) from these 3 aspects: features, compiling structure (comparatively study the knowledge hierarchies and chapter compositions of textbooks)and layout characteristics of pictures and words. we comparatively study embodying the basic idea of the standard of the two trial textbooks.Thirdly ,by means of comparison of the two--edition mathematics trial textbooks, this section consists of the results of comparative researches the modification proposal and some suggestions on how to use the trial textbooks better. In the course of comparison penman pay more attention to theory contacting practice, not only checking a lot of literature but also making an investigation on practice of curriculum reform of basic education in curriculum reform trial areas .These are the hard-core of the whole thesis.Finally, choose the same task form the two--edition mathematics trial textbooks, do experiments and compare the results in two parallel classes. Through the students reactions in class, penwoman makes a valuation and analysis.These are the conclusive section of the thesis.The significances of comparative research on the two editions (edition of Shandong and edition of Beijing Normal University press) consist in: by means of comparative researches teachers and students can gain clearer understanding of the two-edition mathematics trial textbooks, exert the advantages of the two-edition mathematics trial textbooks and improve the quality and efficiency of mathematics teaching; by means of comparative researches teachers and students can grasp the basic idea of the standard best, so our curriculum reform of basic education can go on wheels; by means of comparative researches can provide some pieces proposal of emending textbooks in the future.
