Teaching life is the life which produced by teaching and formed in the course of teaching to deal with some relative business or human relationships. In the teaching life, teachers and students create and produce a special relationship together. They form a community with shared interests. In the community, it enables 'I' to realize 'we' better than simple 'I + you + he', which is different from other social benefit communities. They cooperate and communicate mutually. The ethics of teaching life have provided criteria for teachers and students' life. This thesis believes that ethicality is a practical character of teaching life. The ethics of teaching life reflect the ethicality of teaching life and its realistic foundation and impelling force are the era ethical spirits that contains in teaching life.In our country, research on ethics continues unceasingly, but because of many factors the conception of life ethics has not been completely approved and accepted. Presently the traditional conceptions of ethical relations and reasons have been subverted or criticized. Usually there are two kinds of basic relations in the teaching life-ethics of teacher-student and ethics of colleagues. Formerly, teachers in our country had the absolute authority. A teacher-student relationship puts emphasis on the ethical criteria of 'teachers' dignity', 'day as a teacher, life-long is the father' and so on. And the relationship between teachers is always hostile. The remarkable characteristic of a teacher is 'individual combat', that is to say, in the daily teaching activities, a teacher mostly depends on himself or herself to solve the problems in the classroom. A teacher's teaching activity is often isolated from others'. Moreover, malicious competition between teachers is intense, such as comparing the proportion of students entering schools, being intentional or keeping something back in the course of teaching and research, in contention for the influence on students and so on. This is related to the initial goals of school education that committed to the intellectual education rather than the enhancement and the influence of human nature and character. From the ethical angle, the thesis reconsidered and criticized teachers' teaching life through the document methodology and speculative methodology.Firstly, this article relates teachers' labor of duty-teaching to life and briefly elaborates on the connotation of teaching life and its ethics. The concrete manifestation of teaching life ethics is teacher's professional codes of practice, which have dual functions to standardize and guide teaching life. Secondly, from the structure and constitution, the ethics of teaching life is divided into three parts: (1) Basic premise of ethics, namely give teachers' approval to their own occupation and abide by teachers' ethics; (2) The core conception of ethics value, namely insistence on the theory of human development to train people and service to students' all-round development. (3) The ethical dominant way, namely let the teaching return to life, which is what the ethics of teaching life demands. The three parts are closely connected. Finally, this article put forward some countermeasures and suggestions for the construction of teaching life ethics, for example, teachers should establish the correct view of teaching life; enhance moral self-cultivation as well as constructing the specialized ethics in conformity with teachers' real life. These are only referred to the policy-makers, researchers and teachers.
