Physics materializes the demand of times for the development of physics itself, as well as the interactive development between physics and culture, economy and the society. Physics undertakes the responsibility of improving students' scientific attainment and promoting comprehensive developments of the students. However, during the process of physics teaching, teachers have to face a problem that a large numberof students have great difficulty in learning this subject, which not only bruises students' enthusiasm for physics learning, but also has a negative effect on their gaining knowledge of science and mastering the law of nature.This paper achieved a thorough understanding of the symptoms and reflection of the students in learning physics by means of survey, interview and questionnaire. Meanwhile, based on the theories of educational psychology, a conclusion was drawn through analysis that there are three factors which result in students' difficulty in learning physics: emotional factors, the factors of fragmentary cognitive structure, and the factors of lacking procedural knowledge.According to the characteristics and causes of students' difficulty in learning physics, the paper put forward concrete teaching strategies that make it easier for the students to learn physics: The explanation strategy, the strategy of changeable practices , the strategy of forming integrated knowledge system. A research was carried out in Senior Grade Two into the conversion of students who are poor in physics.The teaching experiment was conducted in two types of classes: the experimental class where the conversion strategy of physics learning difficulties is used and the non-experimental class where normal teaching is performed.The results of the experiment indicate that when physical knowledge is fully absorbed by students through the training of strategies, their achievements on physics, Self-efficacy and ability to solve problems have all greatly improved.
