| Seen from the whole country, the development of education in Inner Mongolia is backward. Because it's a national district, the attention paid to the education of Han nationality is less especially in the Han nationality middle schools in pastoral areas there the whole quality of teachers especially of the physics teachers is poor.Seen from the knowledge structure quite a number of teachers graduated from the technical schools even technical secondary schools. Further education in Inner Mongolia is in name but not in reality. Although present record of formal schooling almost satisfies the social needs, the abilities of teachers are not enough. As a result, for many physics teachers, their major knowledge is not good enough which lowers the level of physics teaching. And also the results of physics in college entrance examination are lower, thus affect the whole results of this examination.In Han nationality middle schools in pastoral areas, the majority of teachers are very busy. Normally every teacher teaches three or four classes. The number of students in every class is very large, from 80 even to 90. So the labor intensity of teachers is large. This in a way influences the teaching quality.In these schools, because of a little government investment and other reasons, the income of teachers is low. They can't arouse the teachers'enthusiasm. Teachers are almost not satisfied with their work.This paper is based on the quality structure of physics teachers in Han nationality middle schools in pastoral areas in Chifeng. It includes the present conditions and developing trend of physics teaching in these schools. The author is trying to find some methods of improving the quality of physics teachers so as to change the present conditions of physics teaching . With the new requirement of courses reform, we are making every effort to make physics teaching in these middle schools enter a new period.
