With great changes in the 21st century and rapid progress in science technology, compulsory education and the senior maths have been deeply developing with new concepts of curriculum reform. It can be seen not only in curriculum concepts and goals, but also in contents and methods. In our country, the single curriculum system is existed, while the new curriculum standard emphasizes that the senior maths should satisfy students diversified demand, raise their interest in their study, develop their individuality and special skills and enhance their overall accomplishment. Meanwhile, whatever teachers or students can choose the course good for their development according to their knowledge structure. In this way, the school—based curriculum development, with different schools characteristics, will become a key point in the curriculum reform.School-based curriculum development (SBCD) , originated from the USA, has been developed to be a international revolution in teaching reform. By now, a variety of school—based curricula have been developed in 44states in the USA. In Kentucky and Texas, they use school—based curriculum, Canada and the UK as well. It is even regarded as an educational policy in the New Zealand and Australia.Since 1960s∽1970s', many western countries have wanted to build a democratic curriculum, which depends on teachers and is participated by students, parents, curriculum and representatives of the community. As a result, a school—based curriculum revolution took place in the curriculum history. The revolution in Australia was very attractive. Australia Government and other organizations in society took every effort to let schools continue to owe the power in curriculum decision. School—based curriculum has been flourishing. Later, some western developed countries like Canada, the UK and the USA were involved in the revolution. For a long time before 1996,our country had been adopting nation-set curriculum. All the schools over the country had adopted the same educational plan, the same teaching program, and the same textbooks without flexibility, variety and especially adaptation. In 1996,the former education ministry issued Full-time Common Senior High School Curriculum Program (experimented) that allowed senior high schools to properly set their own optional courses and activity courses. According to the Program, the unified course standard for required the country set courses, while the local schools determined the optional courses. Meanwhile, Local and School-based Curriculum Development Guidance was issued to go with the Program. At that time, the education ministry carried out a new curriculum program experiment in Tianjin, Shanxi and Jiangxi provinces. In the experiment the high school curriculum were divided into three parts----required course, optional course and activity course. At the same time, the local and the school developed a part of courses. Thus it pushed up the variety of course setting and provided scientific setting and development for research course. In the process, some successful examples on course development appeared. In the late 1990s,the original idea of school-based curriculum came out. Many schools did research into it, flourishing the education. Among them were small topic research in Huashida No.2 Middle School, a resear into knowledge in Dating Middle School, Open topical activity course in Qibao Middle School, Student Scientific Institute in Jincai Middle school and so on. School-based curriculum stood out in the basic education development. Based upon it, the new course standard requires that a new course-performing environment beneficial for building a learning style be set in high school to improve the students' ability to self-study, communicate, analyze and settle pproblems. It also requires that schools determine on courses, creatively perform national courses, develop school-based curriculum and enable the students to choose their own courses.Under the guidance of the new standard, research courses are applied to the real situation. In the course the students practice doing research into topic study, apply the theory they have learned to solve the problems they meet in daily life. They learn how to use varieties of mathematic research resources, and how to collect relative information. They research into math coming into being, math development and math application. They study daily life, social production and the math applied to other fields. They exchange their research results. They form a hobbit of research and a spirit of civism and creativity, thus adapted to the new requirement made by knowledge economy age. It is good to build up a training model for creative talents from content to practice. And the model is sure to push the development of Chinese Economy and the invigoration of the Chinese nation, thus realizing a skipping development.According to the new demand on teachers and students of the new curriculum standard, some new measure and concepts on course development are carried out in our school. For example, in order to satisfy students'diversified demand and improve teachers'inner quality, an elective course is opened on Wednesday afternoon every semester. By now, literature, photography, research on marine creatures in BEIBUWAN, pearl aquatic breeding, drawing, music, etc. However, a mature school—based maths curriculum has not been formed yet.The author took Senior II students in Beihai No7 Middle School as experimenters, and associates their school-based curriculum development with senior high school mathematic research course to do an experiment. Based on the experiment, their senior mathematic research course offers three effective examples---- cigarette-packed problem, the deduction of Eluder Formulas, and the setup of Space Analytic Geometry. In the experiment, under the guidance and the participation of the teacher, the students take an independent part in the research and enjoyed the fun of seeking after first-hand knowledge in the specific process .It motivates the students' interest in science and can be served as a reference for the performance of school-based curriculum. In the experiment, the students applied mathematic knowledge to the real life. The experiment tells us how to improve the students' ability to do research .We also find that how to introduce mathematical research teaching into mathematical basic teaching is a new task. We should make further study from theory and practice. The following research can not only be served as theoretical and practical material for the performance of school-based curriculum but also served as a reference for the other schools'development of school-based curriculum.
